Leaving Your Print

Thanks to Erin at the European Bible School (part of the Heartgood Foundation) in Norway for this message:

snow-angelWinter is in full swing and we have a beautiful white covering of snow over everything in sight. We truly have a winter wonderland. Seeing all this snow reminds me of when I was a small kid and used to go out for hours at a time sledding, making snow houses and lots of snow angels. Actually, I am pretty sure I made snow angels last year as well. There is something special about leaving your print in the snow and transforming yourself into the form of an angel.

The dictionary defines an angel as “a spiritual being believed to act as an attendant, agent, or messenger of God, conventionally represented in human form with wings and a long robe.” Do you long for the day when our Heavenly Father will come to take us home? I know I do, and snow angels make me think about what kind of print I’m leaving on this earth with my life. How am I treating others? Am I representing God to them?

We are now approaching 2009 and I would like to make a challenge to myself and you. Let’s make 2009 the year that we walk the walk and talk the talk of having Christ in our lives. Let’s be conscious of our prints! And if it helps, dont forget to go out and make a snow angel.
